History
The Illinois Association of Medical Staff Services, an affiliate
of the National
Association Medical Staff Services, was founded in 1981
by enthusiastic medical staff service professionals throughout
the
state.
Their objectives in forming the organization were to provide professional
and personal development, networking opportunities, communication
resources, career advancement and education for medical staff services
professionals.
Board of
Directors
A Board of Directors manages several essential functions of the
organization. The Board oversees the annual meeting, serves as
liaison
between the National Association and other professional organizations,
directs public relations activities, and manages the organization's
budget.
Meeting
Our Goals
IAMSS boasts a membership from hospitals, managed care organizations,
and physician office practices statewide. We continue to promote
the goals and objectives of our founding members.
