CREDENTIALS COORDINATOR The University of Chicago Medical Center is seeking a full-time Credentials Coordinator to manage the medical staff credentialing program and support Medical Staff Organization functions. Responsibilities include organizing, coordinating and ongoing improvement of a complex credentialing program for physician appointment, reappointment and privileging, processing medical staff applications for appointment and reappointment and ensuring timely review. Qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of medical staff administration and credentialing principles normally acquired through 3-5 years of experience in this field. Medical terminology, initiative, decision-making, detail oriented and independent work habits. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and department staffs and other customers.
